the pre-weekend

Well,
This weekend is the one that my dad turned 60, almost. By that I mean that he will turn 60 tomorrow, not that he died unexpectedly. Which I guess he might do, so far, he's ok though. Fingers crossed he'll turn 60 uneventfully.

I knitted a mitten yesterday, just one, and will never knit another mitten. It takes too long and the mitten I've made looks like something only ET could wear. So, if anyone knows someone who'd want one ET shaped mitten get in touch.

The point of this blog was to help me start a gentle revolution in my own life to prevent life melt-down when I hit my mid-30s. So today I've gone and had an icecream in the local icecream parlour to see if that'd help. No major changes noted although I did like the coconut flavour and the maple sauce they put on top for me. Maybe I'll go back and see whether anything changes from a second visit.

Then I had a pint, of bitter, less fizzy than lager, feel like an old man ordering it and it probably won't help me get a date but, tastes good. Was not the most inspiring pint I've drank. Not sure what the most inspiring pint was. Will have a think.

Ok - starting a blog is enough for a sunday evening. Off for a cup of tea.

Over and out.
